I really like my Bluecurrent III 69. It is my first JDM UL or L rod. I liked it so much I have ordered a complete arsenal of JDM rods from 3 different companies. My two posts about it are copied below.

Yamaga Blanks has apparently gone to just two lines of light game rods now, with the new BlueCurrent III and the TZNano lines. I really like my BlueCurrent III 69 model so far, and have not spotted any blemishes or defects. It is rated for 1-4 lb., and up to 7 grams. It tossed a 1 gram head with small plastic worm ok, and did the same with a jighead and soft plastic swimbait combo weighing 6.25 grams. Haven't used it enough to determine the sweet spot. It bends very readily, making a small spotted bass an enjoyable battle. It subdued a 2.35 spotted bass the first trip out.

Bluecurrent III is their newest line. It started rolling out model by model in early 2020. They now have two lines of light-game rods- the Bluecurrent III which sells for $220-$230, is 91% carbon and the TZ Nano which has Toray Graphite, Torzite guides and over 99% graphite blank. The TZ Nano sells for about $350, depending on model.

Thanks redearhoosier thanked you for this post

Thank you for the reply!! Replies like this, make this an educating and rich thread!

There are sooo many ultra light JDM poles that I would like to acquire and learn about, but I don't have a $$$ tree! I really need one of these Blue Current rods and the 6'9" model is very appealing. I'd love to buy the higher end model due to its higher graphite content which I'm sure makes it extremely sensitive...Just hard to spend $350 on a fishing pole.

This is my highest end JDM rod as it typically sells for $400 or more. It's been quietly sitting in its case, but that's about to change. Name: 20200412_103452.jpg
