Excellent. Maybe the individual I exchanged emails didn't know what he was talking about.
I paid about 60 more than that. Looks like I missed a good price, but it's not the end of the world!

A little more fishing time with the Slow Taper Special. I hit Lake X this morning for a little while but did not stay long. The fish did not cooperate and with all the lilly pads and grass not a lot of openings around the lake to fish a jig. I did manage a 10 inch shell cracker.....he is spawned out and a little thin. But the hit he put on the rod was awesome. Feeling the hit on this rod is just at another level....then playing the fish in and the rod behavior is truly a joy to feel. I got a shot of the bend with the shell cracker. I had to pass VFW Lake to get home so stopped off there and tangled with the smaller bluegill and bass some. I am including a shot of just how well the TWRA techs keep the grounds up around the lake. The place looks like a manicured golf course....hats off to them. Folks have asked me over the years which of the JDM rods are my favorite....I always replied that I really did not have a favorite......well that is no longer true.....the Eradicator is hands down my favorite. While I still want the Ever Green I am strongly looking at the 6’ 9’ Eradicator XUL. I am just concerned it may be too similar to the 6’ 7”.....but Abu Garcia states it is softer than the Slow Taper.

Thanks for the post, Randy. Wow, with the collection of rods you have a new favorite really says something to how impressive it must be. That was a nice photo showing the bend. You can see there is still some backbone left but that is a nice curve. Congrats - I expect a lot more to show up on the forum. Someone said Otto was out of stock. Surprise! They were all going to the states! LOL

Thanks for the awesome feedback. Really looking forward to mine arriving here soon.
Has anyone here fished both the 6’10” Eradicator and 6’10” Lunakia? I wonder how those two would compare.

All this talk about the Eradicator purchases and fishing reports prompted me to order another Yamaga Blanks rod. This is my fourth, and I will need another one for complete happiness. I should stop reading this forum, it is dangerous...
With your arsenal I am not sure what you would use the lunakia for... I do know what you would use the RF for... my 2 cents :)
The 610 Lunakia is by far the more versatile rod.
I’ve had fun with it on little gills and 15lb drum.
It will twitch trout magnets, swim baby swimbaits, micro crankbaits, in-line spinners, drop shot, split shot, float fish, micro Carolina rig...
This time of year the Lunakia is my go to rod, I’ve been having a blast the last few weeks with big bull bluegills and 10-14” inch smallies on this rod.
Not saying the Tict won’t do some of those things, but not ALL of them.
Now, I also need to preface this with the fact I have only a little time fishing the Tict, I don’t own it, but I ave ready access to it.
I have probably pushing 500 hours with the 610 Luna in my hand.
