What a great write-up, Alphahawk. Exactly the kind of information I was looking for! I find it a bit frustrating that Major Craft does not list rod weights. Carbon content would also be nice...

Sharing more "quarantined" JDM rod orders info from the USPS tracking system:
Rod number 1- Your item has been processed through a facility in HAKATA, JAPAN on March 27, 2020 at 1:20 am. Still in Japan.
Rod number 2- Your item has been processed through our facility in ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS) at 10:22 pm on April 3, 2020. It also shows the status as "In-Transit". I understand that means the rod is still in New York.
No problem. At least I know where the rods are, sorta. This is completely understandable, given the need to prioritize shipping other items like masks and other medical equipment and devices. Besides, it is not like I don't have any other rods to use.:)
Hey guys,
Got my rod from Digitaka today. Ordered it last Wednesday. Seems pretty fast. Only thing is it was delivered DHL. I guess time to wait and see if I get hit with any charges for using a carrier. I will keep you guys posted.
I posted this in the other DHL thread, but I placed an order last Thursday, April 9th at like 12:05am in the morning.
I just got a shipping notice this morning and the rod/reel are coming DHL. I guess the potential customs charges could offset the sale prices? Not a big deal if the grand scheme of things. Time will tell I reckon.
OK, I just did an experiment. I just ordered a rod from Digitaka and asked not to ship by DHL, but rather to hold it until EMS becomes available, if it is not at this point. I'll see what happens.
I am now waiting for two TZ Nano rods – down the slippery slope!..
We have movement...

Digitaka responded very quickly, asked if I'd like to proceed with DHL. I said no and asked them to hold my package until EMS is available. No emails since then, I assume they will do what I've asked.
No movement for the first rod, still shows "Accepted in Japan", since March 28.
My tracking information has not populated in DHL yet.
