We returned again today, put in at arrowhead, fished limestone out tot he river. Fished from 7am-1pm.
Water was 64 degrees and dingy but not chocolate milk considering the rain last night.
We caught about 20, 13 of them being keepers. Today it was mostly white crappie, and we caught most on jigs 18” under a bobber in brush piles in 3-4 FOW. Mostly males with lots of color.
Several guys were spider rigging the bay, and most folks we talked to hadn’t caught many.
i think the fish are staging to spawn but not quite there yet. This cold snap is going to set them back a couple weeks
saw a large gator (guessing 12’) near the last slough before you hit the main river.
also saw a white squirrel driving in to the ramp. That was really cool!
