Got out to the lake about 4 PM on Thursday the 27th. Evening bite has been good of late under a lighted bobber with minnows. But, you know me, I'll throw a jig until it gets dark for that minnow bite. Well, I had to stay for a bit past midnight to get it done but finished up with a limit while ringing in my Birthday on the 28th. Fish were taking it 3' below the bobber but they really got active about 2230 that night. Caught a few on a jib before it got dark. Jig bite was 5' deep on one of those new eye hole hair jigs with a piece of Crappie Magnet bait in it. Water clarity was about 18-24 inches. Ratio of females to males was 6:4. No bloody tails and only a few got dark after I threw them in the bucket. It's getting close.
