    Default Arrow head 11-27

I took the boat and fished arrow head from daylight until 2 on Wednesday. The fish were not on fire but I did ok. I had 14 keepers and a big stripe. I also released 5 or so that were 9 inches but thin so I returned those. I also caught a 5-6 lb cat and 7 or so shorts. I fished from the first island out to the river. Most fish came off of stumps that I found with live scope and not the tree tops. I caught all on a hand tied 16 oz jig. I have some of the z man baits coming tomorrow and will try then next trip. The stripe was full of baby blue gill. Shad were everywhere so they may prefer bluegill. I talked to a couple of people that said the bite was very slow. Maybe from the colder weather. The wind picked up later and made it difficult to stay on the stumps. Very enjoyable day for sure. I got one of the fish cleaning tables Cabela's has on sale for 49.00 and it made cleaning the fish a lot easier.

Everything I cleaned from Tuesday was stuffed with baitfish, not surprised they may have been a little off the next day. I returned several stripe and a couple large Channel cats plus several drum. It seems like everything that's normal scattered across that large bay is now between the first island and the mouth of the river. They should be back on the buffet soon. Thanks for sharing!

Good report! Looks like a nice mess of fish, glad you were able to get on a few.
