Welcome to the forum and s we veral folks on here fish out of kayaks you should be able to talk to some of them and learn a lot.
Only suggestion I have for fishing Guntersville is try around some bridges like Hwy 69 causeway maybe 227 near the feed mills something like that.

Welcome to the forum. I've continued to avoid Guntersville due to the boat traffic. The real strength of a kayak is getting into the skinny water in sloughs, backwater areas, creeks and rivers that the big boats typically stay out of!
