Default Plastics or hand tied jigs

I am sure if I knew how to search history on the site this is probably already on it. But interested in opinions. Which is better plastic jigs or hand tied? When do you say it better to use one over the other?

Hand ties don't shoot under docks very well. So I tend to mostly use plastics. Casting jigs I like hand ties

I use both but tend to use hand ties more. Hand ties last a lot longer than plastics. Both work and get the job done.

I use hand ties some but only when im fishing flats where I can't get hung up. They too expensive or too much trouble to make to lose on a tree top. Definitely plastic when skipping docks.

Certainly the hand ties have the edge in durability and scent retention

My vote is for plastics but I honestly haven’t experimented with hand tied much.

I toss both until I find out what the fish prefer then go after them. Lots of times I'll throw a double rig with plastics on the bottom and hand ties over top.
