I often catch Black Nose Crappie (black stripe down their head all the way to their mouth), especially in Limestone but they're usually smaller fish, 12 inches or less. Yesterday I caught a Black Nose in Cotaco that was 14 inches by far the largest Black Nose I've ever seen. I'm glad to see they get that large. I've always promised myself that if I ever catch a Crappie over 18" I'm getting it mounted. It sure would be cool if it was a Black Nose (if I ever get on that big) LOL!
