Thread: New jig rod

After watching Ditch catch crappie on the jig pole, I had to give it a try.I had a 12 ft rod but it is heavy and wears your arm out. I got a b&m sam super sensitive in 11 ft. It is super light and very sensitive.It has the back reel seat like a fly rod. I put the small b & m reel on it which is basically to hold line. Most of the crappie i caught the last 2 trips have been on it. The model is
SHSS-BS-112. It comes in 10,11 and 12 feet. I also got a couple of the cast king centron spinning reels in 500 size. 9 plus 1 bb . They are super smooth and at $22.00 on Amazon you cant beat the price. Hope to be after the crappie soon.
