I've seen two gators in Limestone on a single outing that were different individuals. One about 9-10 foot and another one around 6-7 feet. There are so many little holes in the woods in that area that are cut off from the main channel, I'm sure there are more I haven't seen. The big guy has always behaved when I'm around him and doesn't even come over to investigate when a fish I've hooked is splashing.
I assure you though if he gets something in him mouth (deer, pig or man) you're unlikely to get away. I saw a gator that size in Georgia one day swimming down a river with a feral hog in his mouth leaving a blood trail in the water behind him so it was a fresh kill. The hog was in the 200 pound range and there's not much tougher.
