Thread: Rod Storage

I used to keep my rods in a PVC rack I built but with a baby coming I'm having to get creative.
What better place than the ceiling of the garage above the door.
Also as a bonus it has opened up more places to store them so more rods for me.
I used 1x4s to mount at the handles with a 2" (if I remember correctly) hole saw to make the holes and joined them together with pocket holes, and 1-1/4" cup hooks in a 2x4 on the other side.
The hip roof made it extremely difficult to get the tip boards at a good length away and my 5'6" poles barely fit but a 1-1/4 PVC Pipe with a 90° fitting will fit in the hole and help bridge the gap.
