The only rod that I have to slide all the way in is the fly rod because it does not have handle below the reel. And it rarely comes down. I put the butt end of the rod in the hole first and then put the tip in the hook. No sliding through the hole for any of the rods that have handle below the reel.

You're right. That fly rod is what caught my eye and caused me to think about having to slide it all the way in. I'm liking your system even more each time I look at it.

Nice job, will definitely help fit more in the garage.
