If you’ll show up to school wearing nothing but boxer shorts and shoes tomorrow they’ll give you those 105 days off and you can get an early start on retirement

I’m good with the week your off it doesn’t matter to me I can get off anytime I don’t do anything at work that’s important anyway

I talked with lake wedowee motel and cabins and they are pretty open for March with rooms going for $77 a night Thursday-Sunday. They have a place to clean fish and plenty of parking but they dont have a place to gather for fish fry. Howard’s place is a few miles from there with a pavilion that can accommodate the get together.

As far as dates go just my opinion but the fishing is better in March. If I’m not mistaken they start backing the water up starting in April and just the debris floating makes long lining difficult. If your a single pole guy you can find fish and have luck but the pushers and pullers will be aggravated. Glenn may have a different opinion and he may know a more accurate date when they start backing it up.

I would but they keep it so cold in this building that I would die of hypothermia and would not get to enjoy retirement though. I would also probably get attacked by love starved women and many happy homes would be decimated . I appreciate the great idea but believe I'll Dress normally.

Glenn can tell you the best time. He is the Wedowee expert and Ray Jennings lives and fishes over that way too. Have it at the best time to catch fish and those of us who can will come and those who can't will wait till next time. As far as debris, many of us long line at Guntersville and have to deal with floating grass. A little debris ain't no problem. Fish mght even be on banks or done by then. Who knows. I said I was being selfish when I suggested those dates. I will try to come on saturday whenever you decide to have it if the weather is cooperative. Another factor in my coming is if that Motel lets Reagan Stay. No Reagan No Coach and I ain't sleeping in the truck. I can always go to Cocodrie that week Yellow mouths will be on fire if the wind allows you to fish.
