The whites tend to stay more in the drop offs where there are some wood/stumps and tree tops cover .Strangely I do not see any whites come from under boat houses and they are all made of wood usually..... The Blacks will be where ever there are weeds/grass and rocks and concrete ,has been my experience with them, but sometimes the black ones will be in a tree top as well . Most bank fishermen only see the blacks because they are jigging around bridge pilings and rip rap . Boater fishin guys will see the most whites .
