    Default Jigs eye

You’d think I’d learn. Several times this year I’ve had a fish get away from line pulling thru where jig eye connects. Using 4lb mono and a loop knot. Line doesn’t break just pulls thru. I’ll be squeezing them a little now. Irritating because lost best crappie I’ve hooked this year Wednesday. Just thought I’d share my frustrations

I know that's frustrating. About a month ago kayak fishing I got hug on some brush and after maneuvering over to the area and then wrestling with the brush and finally freeing the jig it fell off. I thought well darn did the line break? I looked and the knot was still tied. It came off from the eye not closed good. I imaging loosing one like that with a very nice crappie hooked would be irritating. I try to check now and if painting the jig even put some paint on the area to fill it some.

That's a bummer but it happens....keep your needle nose pliers handy when you tie your jigs on.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
