Steeper banks with rock or sand or pea gravel grass lines close to the bank. Trees or stick ups. Every lake is different a d the use the best available things on each lake. You need to tag along with me soon buddy

I always do better in hard bottom areas with some cover, spawning depth is more related to water clarity. Muddy water they sometimes spawn 12" deep, clear may be 5 or 6 feet. I do better with hard clay bottoms then sand or gravel.

North Banks in North Creeks and coves warm faster.

There is a boat launch inside of the State Park right before the larger boat launch that you have to pay to use. It has a nice sandy/gravel cove with shallow water. It should be a prime spawn spot and has some cover under the boardwalk that is built along the shore also as the water goes several feet under it.

I know where the two big boat ramps are at the park but don’t know of one you have to pay to use, unless it’s the little ramp at the cabins.

The big ramp has a guard house out front and the times i've been there no one has been in the building but I saw a "Honor Box" for boat launching on the side. The spot I fished was right before that with the gravel parking lot and a pit pot off to the side. It has a wooden deck on the lakefront that they were measuring when I was down there last week to be replaced.
