Fur lite and myself fished amongst the celebrities yesterday too. Always good to see Mitch, Coach and Mr Moss. If I make it to be 90, I sure hope I can get out and fish like he does. It was also good to see Brent (bill collector) yesterday and also to meet Eric (Crappieseeker, I hope I got that right) Brent don't post much, but he's good people too. He and Mitch talked all day. I don't know how they ever caught a fish. LOL

It was a long, long day starting at 5:00 am to get ready for the hour drive. We dropped in the water around 7:15 and fished until dark. The day started out great with 2 fish in the first 15 minutes, then it slowed down. We rode the waves until just after noon then after what seemed like a 30 mile boat ride, we caught some more, then finished up the day back where we started with a fantastic hour and a half. At 5:30 we had 14 keepers and right after 7:00 we had 44 in the livewell. We released 9 fish that were between 9 and 9 1/2. I'm not taking a chance and paying a short fish ticket. I'm guessing we boated somewhere around 65-70 total fish yesterday. We had a good meal with good company after the fishing. We ended up with 2 1/2 gallon bags of fillets. Throughout the size range, over half the fish were males. For reference the cutting board is 11 3/8" wide.

All fish were caught pulling jigs. Pink and chartreuse ended up being a big color for us.
