Question, can you launch a boat with an outboard on Madison County Lake and then just use your trolling motor? I know it is an electric motor only lake, but can I launch my big boat and just not run the big motor?

Slabprowler, can I launch it with the gas motor on it? Some trolling motor lakes won't let you launch your boat with the gas motor mounted on the boat. My 18' Triton is sort of hard to take the motor off. I have carried some of my smaller boats over years ago with just a trolling motor and fished out of them, but never with a gas motor mounted on the back. I am hunting some place to fish a few hours tomorrow morning. I may just hit the river here in Decatur.

Yes sir you can! I have a xpress 18’6 with a 125 and have fished it several times unless it’s changed you can use your big motor to load back up also!
    Too blessed to be stressed!

Looks like they cut the limit from 5 to 4 fish, and also shortened the trout season by a month and a half. Fyi the trout are in a different part of the lake. No boats allowed there.

Those trout are like sharks in there. It's a blast to get a couple each year!
