Stopped by one of my usual spots today and seen millions of bait balls on the move, given there’s a bridge there and water was moving some but never seen this amount of baitfish there, got there late but caught 6 crappie from 930-11 one had a small Shad in its throat. All of them was stuffed full as a tick, the ones I caught was all still deep though and had to pick through all the yellow bass.

I'm hoping the shad will soon start moving up the creeks so the crappie will follow,if anyone has seen or sees this happening please let us know

Cooler temps next week. Once those Shad start up the creeks the bite should get better

Thanks for the info Catch,I also fish Wheeler but haven't had the chance to go looks like I need to hit it this weekend.
When I hit the water this morning water temp was 77 degrees and the area I fished you could literally smell the fish.
