I drove through there about 8:30 last night and there was nobody fishing the bridge. Not a good sign if catching crappie is on your to do list. There are a LOT of minnows further up in the creeks. You might try fishing with a light close to a grass edge up in the creek

[QUOTE] Most of the bridges have been taken over by Gar, stripe and Bass .They are drivng the bait fish to the top and start slashing them on the surface. a few crappie are below all this picking off injured and dying minnows .Hard to get a bite they are so full, even harder to get a jig down thru the feeding freenzy when it happens as the bass and stripe hitting anything moving or sinking!!

We tried Short Creek from about 1230 to 300 Friday night/Sat Morning. Caught 1 crappie that was 14 inches. Tons of Stripe, 1 Drum (that was a fight). Overall it stunk but we had a good time trying. Can't catch them from the couch, but maybe we should have stayed in the bed (hindsight) hahahaha. Thanks for the replies. We did see a boat under TC maybe they were catching um?

You went fishing, and took your son, so it was a win/win. He don't care what you catch. He just wants to spend time with daddy and catching fish is a bonus! Glad you got to go.

Y'all ain't giving them white bass any love. They eat pretty dang good too. Especially from cold water
