Guntersville has both black and white crappie. It is a huge body of water and I would guess number of blacks vs whites would vary according to location cover, water depth ect. They both taste the same. Before I committed I would consider a few things. Lodging close to or on the lake Gville is your choice. If you have a small boat I would choose Neely. Guntersville is big water and can get real rough in windy conditions. There are some huge crappie in Guntersville. How much do you Know about the Lake? Neely is smaller might be able to narrow down fishing area easier. Either way you are probably going to catch some fish that time of year. I live on Weiss, I grew up on Guntersville and still fish it a lot. I occasionally fish Neely. I will be glad to help you but there are others on this site that you can communicate with. Cowboy 215 and RogerA are Neely experts. Slabprowler lives in Scottsboro and fishes Gville all the time.
