Mitch fishing grass lines is like a lot of cover you have to find the spot within a spot. You may fish the line for a long way and the fish will be in a small stretch

Thanks Glenn ! Hope to spend sometime this winter scanning the grass areas if it ever gets cold enough for it to die off for the winter! Sorry Brad didn’t mean to high jack your thread!

No worries. Nice catch in your cooler. I'd like to tag along with you one day and see what you were doing to catch them.

Mitch, crappieseeker is all over that grass line bite. He schooled me up one night as well.

FurFying- might want to check the solunar tables for feeding times to increase your odds as well.

We hit a marina before the sun went down, fishing the edges of the boat slips in 10-12 FOW with minnows. I caught a few bluegill, my son didn't catch any. We hit 2 different bridges after dark with the green submersible light and didn't get a bite. Water temp was 61.1.

Where do I need to be looking and how do I need to be fishing right now? I am not finding much of anything on my Helix that looks encouraging.
Fishing is hard right now catching alot of dinks. Where are you fishing? Went out from 12 to 8am yesturday only brought home 10 barely keepers. The fish were only 3-5ft deep. Try setting your minnows a little shallower. At the bridges of gville they really dont be that deep. You can be in 20ft of water and the bite is right under the surface.

The joke's on us, Fur'. There are no crappie to speak of. All those pictures are imported from the web and photoshopped. CRAPPIE FISHING is what folk hereabout use in place of SNIPE HUNTING
