Water temperature varied from 61 to 63 degrees. I had probably my best day crappie fishing. I caught about 20 crappie, 7 white bass, 4 bass, and a catfish. I flat lined trolled early in 12 feet of water and caught 8 crappie and the catfish. It took me 20 minutes to land the catfish. He made a long run and pulled out most of my line. He also went through some structure and I was lucky to pull my line through it. I released him to fight another day. The rest of the fish I caught was from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm and were in 2 to 4 feet of water. I was casting at the base of a long point and the fish were stacked up. Lots of fun. My first three casts at this spot gave me 3 crappie.
Here is a picture of the 10 crappie I brought home and the catfish. Biggest crappie were 13". Smallest were 10".
