    I was wanting to know about the Garmin 74sv hd id side vu g2 is Garmin a good finder I have only used hummingbird in the past

    I bought a 7 sv at the beginning of summer, still a lot to learn.the down view looks super.

    I have the 93sv and love it - very few buttons and easy to navigate! The quality of picture is great. I have not been able to do a side by side comparison between Lowrance/Hummingbird but I am sure it is comparable.
    I love the fact that the maps come with it and the views are great!

    I have been using the Garmin Striker 7 sv all summer without complaints, I would buy a "touch screen" on my next purchase though.

    Garmin are good until they give you trouble in a couple of years, then their service is the worse out of all of them. I has one for 2 years and it got to where it would not come on, they told me that they didn't fix them anymore and I needed to buy a new one,so I bought a new one back to HB, and never looked back.
