Size:  65.3 KBI've heard the only way to tale the difference is by the vertical strips in the white crappie. Regardless of the color.

    so with that said is the crappie in the photo on the right a black and the one on the right white.

    There is also a difference in the number of spines on the dorsal front fin. Believe the black has more than the white.

    There's also a slight difference in shape, as you can see in the photo. White crappie tend to be a little more elongated. It may not be easy to notice, unless you have one of each to compare.
