I fished the North end of Limestone Bay today, little windy but the fish were on fire. I started at daylight and had half a limit in the cooler by 7AM. I continued to catch fish steadily all day including channel cat, bass and gills. I even managed a few shellcracker. Best bait was a 1/32oz spinner with a white twister tail targeting isolated stumps and visible cover. I also picked up a few on a 1" slider jig on a 1/32oz jig head. I returned several Crappie 15" or over and many large cats. I decided to finish my limit just before I left at 4PM. I've been blessed with many good days on the water, but I'm not sure I've ever catch this many Crappie that would measure in a day. The water was cloudy with visibility of about a foot and 70 degrees. The shad were thick and fish were blowing up hitting them everywhere.
