    Default Crankbaits for catfish


    Well been trying to catch crappie on crankbaits all summer. Managed 4 all summer long. Went Saturday morning for one last try. Caught 1. But catfish love crankbaits too. Big ones is tough on 14' poles trolling!!!!!. Ended with 16 cats throwing back several small ones. On lake eufaula

    Glad you got them out of the lake. I hate catching those when I'm crappie fishing.

    Only thing I hate catching worse than a slimer when crappie fishing is a lineside! Both will tear up some lines.

    I guy from Kentucky on here named mrdux got a wright up in field an stream for catching cats on cranks. He his a guide on Kentucky lake i think. Seems lake a good crank bait fishermen. Check some of his posts.

    Those are a hoot on crappie trolling rods for sure. They will mess up your rig though. Congrats on a nice cooler full of fillets!
