Default What's the water temp on Weiss?

Just trying to get an idea of what to look for when I get there next week. Looks like decent weather and 70s for a while, so it is looking like a good week. Can't wait!!!

Water was 53 in Yellow Creek this past Saturday.
Probably a little warmer on up the lake.

It was 50-51 in the mornings and up to 55 or so in the afternoon. Lots of fish being caught on Tue. thru Thur. Lots of nice fish. We fished around Bay Springs and they are starting to catch them in Little River area. I sure hated to have to come home today. We brought home around 90 fish though. Finally learned how to long line troll. Bryan

Anybody been fishing Cowan Creek area and other places close to Pruetts? How's fishing been around that area? I'm dying here. The water on my home lake across the street here is 39 degrees. 55 seems like a long way off. I would think the water at Weiss should be in the low 60s by Wednsday at this rate. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

    Default Water Temps

The water temperatures on the lake vary quite a bit depending on which area of the lake you are planning to fish. This past week the water temp on the lower part of the lake has been 52-54 degrees. The water on the upper lake is a lot warmer, around 58-60 in the back of some of the coves like Dead Boy, Trotters and Riverside. The shallow water is really warming up quick and there are a lot of people catching fish in those area casting a cork and fly in 3-4 feet of water. Hope this helps you out...See Ya on the Water!
