I guess it will work but man that thing is long but for $100 I don't think you're going to find one any cheaper. Really depends on if you happy with it.

Hello, good day, ive been restoring a 14ft aluminum starcraft and i found this trolling motor for 100 bucks. However its pretty long and i need some input on how to install ot or should i look fot a shorter shaft. This one ia 52in. Ive never used a foot control and once its in the water i know it shouldn't be any problems but, i am still uncertain

Yeah the mounting is my biggest worry

I believe the shaft on that trolling motor is one piece instead of 2 like most trolling motors. You could take it some where and probably get it shortened.

The locking collar on the shaft should control the depth. Doesn't look to difficult to shorten if that's what you wanted.

My terrova has 52 in shaft on 17 aluminum boat. Little extra sticking up dosnt bother me after I got used to it. It sure is nice to be able to put down deeper when I fish from back of boat. Also it makes it a lot easier to retrieve motor with extra length. I made a mount out of 5/16 aluminum to mount to boat then motor to plate. Mounted to left of center and straight back into boat. Have to turn left rod holder when stowing but worth it.
Almost impossible to see the plate mounted underneath the regular motor mount. And looking at your boat pictures it might not work for you. I'll pm you my number if you get to the point you want to try to build something.
