Had about the same luck Saturday along with fog and falling river levels.
    Shad took the morning off.
Question, does the full moon slow the action down in all 12 months?

was told by Barry M at crappie u that the full moon, which is tonight I believe usually affects the spawn and crappie in general. at my home lake last hour is usually slow but when Full moon rose in february bite really turned on a slow day for last hour and it was amazing. so going out this evening to give it a go myself.

I went out Saturday and yesterday with very few fish to show for it. Saturday I only fished a couple of hours and for my efforts caught one nice male, 4 small bass and a channel cat. Monday we were skunked. We initially targeted gills and shellcracker and didn't get a bite. Started punching and pulling jigs and while we were bit a few times we didn't manage to get a hook in a fish. The last time I fished on a full moon I had similar results.

i am beginning to believe a full moon isn't good for the bite.

I could see their beds on side scan. They may have been old beds or fresh - dunno. We threw red wrigglers and crickets at them - if the fish were there they ignored us.
