Thread: Elk river, Sugar creek report

It will never be good untill all the fish eating birds that inhabit that place during the cooler low water months get gone. Does anybody else agree?

The white pelicans are on elk in large numbers, they are around anderson creek and sportmans park. There are thousands of them things and i have often wondered what impact they have on the fish. If you watch them it is a wonder there are any shad minnows left when they leave. If crappie get in their way he is lunch no doubt. They are a protected species so don't know what can be done. Do they visit other areas in North Al.

Seen many white Pelicans in Limestone Bay, but it has been a couple of years since I have seen them there.

Hundreds of them on Flint Creek around Hwy 67.
