Just wanted to say hello, been a lurker for a few years now. I've been chasing slabs around the G since I can remember and I ran into this site one day and decided to stick around to see what was discussed. Seems like there are some nice guys around here and most importantly there are people here that realize crappie are a finite resource and are interested in conservation. As I've gotten older now (which admittedly isn't very old) I've begun to let more and more fish go, especially of the larger nature, and I get almost as much satisfaction out of seeing a giant swim off as I do seeing a 10 incher hit the grease. With that being said, I like to keep a mess as much as the next guy. I just appreciate people that appreciate the resource. I felt like I should say this because, being the bridge crawler that I am, I have seen a lot of people that are not so respectful of said resource. So thank all of you that do practice some conservation and apologies for the long first post. Best of luck to anyone getting out soon and put some of the big pregnant girls back if you can. Til next time...
