I've got an Okuma 10'6" ML two piece that is awesome. It's advertised as a float drifting steelhead rod but the tip has some flex to it and that baby has got a stiff backbone. I bought it to walk dams in Kansas for the walleye spawn, it has landed several 30"+ walleye but I think it has enough flex to not rip the lips off a crappie. I don't know what you're looking at spending but the Okuma can be had for under $70 here https://www.fishusa.com/product/Okum...-Spinning-Rods
