I catch a few on Smith but stay up the creeks, main lake has always been tough for me. I mostly fish rock white oak and crooked, casting blow downs during the day and lights at night. Hadn't been in awhile so I have no idea what they ate doing right now. Smith has really improved the last couple years. It's not as "gin" clear as it use to be so that helps a lot with catching fish. Good luck, let us know if you catch'em

I agree exactly with that blow downs and you will find root balls up in the creeks I'll be there tomorrow and give a update Prater4586 would you be interested in going sometime soon as I mostly fish crooked and have never done the light thing but would love to learn

Just have to find some time to go novalee, I've been catching them pretty good on the river will be after the spawn before i go to Smith. I would appreciate the report. If you get a chance run up rock under sway back about a mile and there is a huge timber slide on the left that came off the bank. You can't miss it. There's trees in the water from 20ft deep all the way up to the bank, give it a try sometime.

I've heard that if you can find some sunken brush you'll do okay. Additionally I've heard that light hair jigs out produce other jigs. Hope that helps.

True if you put in at the park when you back the boat in look left and go that direction then on the right there is a slough on the right with houses fish there we caught about 20 today on minnows and white with black flakes or blue and white with a curly tail
