Ok, so I raided our local Home Depot and came away with quite a few 5 to 7 foot trees. In the past I've placed some in the mouth of sloughs and done really well in the early summer. But I'm really wanting to place these in areas we can fish in the winter months. I'll be putting them in Lay lake, anyone have advice on the depths or areas of the lake. Would it be best to put them in the main lake? Or can I stay in some of the wider, deeper creeks. I've Also heard of using the old creek channels, most of these are 25-40 ft deep. Would these trees be effective that deep down. And BTW, Happy New Years everyone.
