    Default Weiss last Week

I was on break all last week and I don't have internet at home so here is some late info. Fished tue thru sat with my dad. We fished banks and pockets where the wind would allow. A lot of fish on beds or going on beds. We fished jigs under a float and we kept between 20 and 30 each day. Dad caught 2 over two pounds and we caught several in the 14 inch range. It was a blessing to get to spend that much time with Daddy. He will be 88 next week and I don't know how many more trips we will have even though he is in relatively good health. Cold weather will probably slow things down some. The Lord protects his creatures especially when they are most vulnerable. We as sportsman need to remember that all the animals and fish are his and he owns the cattle on a thousand hills and give him thanks for the opportunity to enjoy but also protect his creation.

Coach, y'all have a great fishery at weiss. The wife, kid and I spent three days at the beginning of last week. Caught 287 in those days. Brought home bout 80 for a fish fry with family and friends. All was delicious. Our preacher and his wife came so we had good food and fellowship. Thanks to all the folks that make Weiss lake such a wonderful fishery!!!!

What a blessing to get to spend some time with your dad like that. Glad you had a great week on the water, and some successful fishing as well.

I heard an ole preacher say, and the taters under the hills too! My dad is 91, and still gets around but dementia has set in. Glad y'all can still do things together. Wasn't until my conversion, that the Lord made me go to dad 20 years ago and set things right between me and him. Wasn't till then that I kissed my dad, I'll be 60 this year, hope I get to kiss him more. I was a rebellious son who hated my father, and blamed him for everything, marvelous how Jesus can change a man! That new creature stuff....is real! If you truly been converted. Later LB
