Default Sun, no wind or clouds equals lockjaw!

Why is it that on nice days the fish don't want to play, but cold cloudy windy days they jump in the boat? After looking at weather report figured I'd be home well before lunch with a limit, but forgot that fish don't bite on nice days! Guess I shouldn't complain I did end up with 20 but I had to fish from 5:30am until 5:45pm to get them. Been long lining for 20 years and that's the longest I've ever long lined. Normally would be gone by lunch, but guess my patience has improved with age, plus it was a really nice day! Anyway fished Logan Martin. Water temp was 63 caught almost all on black and chartreuse and most came from areas with lots if structure. Believe they were staying close to structure all day. Although towards the end of the day as I wandered into some shallow water and caught a few that were in full "tuxedo" mode! Overall was a nice relaxing day on the water.

The full moon will be next week on the 23 rd. I think that will be when it will happen if this cold front does not effect them too bad.
