I used to fish the 79 bridge over North Sauty 4-5 times a week and if you didn't find fish, you likely weren't fishing deep enough....lots of smallish fish this time of year along with some keepers but you may have to count your jig down to 15-18 feet to get them. most everyone I see there seem to only want to fish 7-8 ft deep. count that jig down if you don't find them shallow. Ive caught hundreds there on many occasions....water is still a little warm for the real slabs to be numerous but there should be action deep. also lower a minnow to the bottom and then reel it up a couple of feet. if the rod tip wobbles at all set the hook.
