I don't know why, but I've always struggled to catch any in there. Seems I mostly get small stripe.
Down the road at Madison County Boat Harbor is better.

Fished the empty boat slips in the harbor by boat today and thursday. Thursday had jigs only caught 2 small crappie that may have went 9 inches but too small to mess with and only 2 anyways. Today had minnows and caught 4 total, 2 were tiny 2 might've measured. Was fun but not the results I was hoping for.

Croppie LIKED above post
Started to go there but didn't know if the ramp was private and knew the wind was going to get up and it did start whooping. My dad wants to go somewhere to catch them but wants to fish midday. Bridges are about all I know and it's usually an hour before and after daylight. Do you catch many midday DB?
I like the morning bite, but usually can stay on them.
I've never tried it, but midday from the bank mite be ok at Guntersville Dam. They say the fish bite better with the water moving and they're always generating power during the day. Just an idea, someone else on here will know better. They might not post for everyone, but maybe they'll PM you.
