I just purchased an Ipilot. I thought well I'll just order it from the MINN KOTA FACTORY OUTLET STORE. As it turns out the factory outlet has nothing to do with Minn Kota directly. I figured it was owned by Johnson outdoor products just like Minn Kota and Humminbird and the list goes on. Well, it's not. Turns out it's just a huge 3rd party online retail store. The problem is I ordered it on Monday morning at 11 am. It was supposed to ship the same day. I paid for priority shipping. I was supposed to get a tracking number when it shipped. I finally called Thursday only to find out it shipped that day
. On Thursday!!!!!! Man I was pissed, I wanted to play with it Saturday now it wont be here till Monday. Buyer beware, advice from ole superfly.

I did the exact same thing a couple of years ago, but I have had no problems with it and it came right on time. The people who run that company have their links set up so that a number of different brand names come up as a "factory outlet" when in fact they are not affiliated with any of them. I ordered a couple of Norelco shavers from them also, but then I knew it was them. Never had a problem with the products, but it is sneaky the way they are set up.

SeaRay, that's what I was talking about. I thought I would get it from MINN KOTA directly not an unaffiliated store. This is misleading and I feel like it's just wrong. If it's not Minn Kota that should be said. Anyway, I guess it doesn't matter much now.

I was advised by people on this site to buy it from bbg marine, but I went a different route. Now I'm paying for it. I will get the package Monday according the tracking number.

Live and learn like me. I was new on here and did not know about Brian and BBG when I ordered the IPilot. As much as it costs I was worried about it, but thank goodness it has been flawless for 2 years. I have since ordered from BBG when I needed stuff.

Yeah .... Brian with BBG is the way to go .... I hope you didn't buy any extended warranty from those people ..... I almost got sucked in thinking that factory outlet was associated with JO til I read some of the online reviews .... There are some real horror stories, particularly from people trying to use their extended warranty.
