Good luck. You might want to try Vinci LA. Vinci is the best place I've ever been for trout and reds. Give Brandon carter of reel shot guide service a call. He is the man. Best trip I ever had.

After a so so spring of chasing crappie and shell crackers, think I'll head south to Cocodrie next week for some speckled trout fishing. Hope I get some good weather.![]()

Thanks Lowe. Been going to Terribone Parish for several years. I Usually go two to three times a yr. for a week at a time. Made a friend a long time ago who was born and raised there and over the years he has taught me the area. If the weather is right I'll limit out everyday this time of the year. I know there are many excellent places to fish in La. but I am going to stick with the area I know. Besides Guide fees are outrageous.
Sounds like a great change of pace. Those big reds can be hard to turn around when they build up a head of steam.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Enjoy!
When nothing is going right, Just go fishing.
