    Default Browns creek report

Fished from 1 pm to 6pm . Caught some bass, cats and crappie. About 20 Crappie full eggs, no males. 7 to 10 ft. Bandit fire tiger 100. Didn't look like they were ready to spawn. But may be wrong.

Good report. Sounds like a great day. The spawn has been a strange one this year for sure.

Which side of the causeway did you fish if I may ask? the power line side or the river side? we have been fishing some of the boat houses on the power line sides but few fish this year . If the eggs are still a bright yellow with red blood veins in them then they are still fertile but if the eggs are a dull yellow now and no bright red veins then they are not going to be laid and the fish will just absorb them back. It is late in the ball game for a crappie to not be laying eggs although a few do lay late for some reason. I think the spawn occurred 3 weeks ago as we caught a few females that has eggs running out of them when they were caught. Just my opinion!

Snap perking the river side. Cleaned them today. Eggs were yellow and bloody.
