Lake Jordan has a lot of docks, I have not personally fished this lake, but im sure there is fish around and under some of the docks. Just have to learn what docks hold fish. I have fished the Alabama river from Jordan to Camden, there is docks all up and down the river. Some has fish some don't. But for me finding them is half the fun.
For shear numbers Logan Martin is the best around central Bama, a lot of the docks will hold fish.

My wife lets me buy all the rods and reels I can hide.
I would say Logan martin has the size to. In the spring I catch some nice fish on docks. Now the fall there all smaller fish.
Only one I've ever fished is Weiss ... and it's about 145mi from Tuscaloosa. (or about 2.5hrs drive from Tuscaloosa to Centre)
It's a 6hr trip for me, so I don't go there often. But, I do make the 4hr trip to Watts Bar Lake in E. Tn, once or twice a year, for a long weekend (3day) ... and dock shooting is THE primary method for Crappie on that lake (Spring/Fall).
... luck2ya, wherever you end up going !!

Probably going to try bankhead tomorrow if the rain holds off. Looks like it has a ton of docks in the middle part of the lake

Calling FISHING a hobby is like calling BRAIN SURGERY a JOB.
Try fishing Smith Lake if you want to shoot docks most are in about 15 to 30 feet of water and have enough room to shoot under, when I lived in Cullman county I fished Smith quite often and had good luck. But remember use light line in that clear water.
Didn't do much good at bankhead. Didnt realize how shallow it was around those docks. Left from there went to the lake and caught 65
