Hey gents. I'm new to the area. Well a year lol but new to the site and not as efficient a crappie fisherman as I'd like. When I find them it's easy to catch them but finding them is the hard part for me lol if you gents see me out at neely Henry between the damn and rainbow city stop by. I'm grilling burgers and dogs sometimes or splitting my time on crappie or anchored for cats. I'm normally in a green/white 22' deck boat with alot of rodholders

Welcome to Crappie.com from Odenville. I will definitely watch for you, that boat should be easy to see. Using good electronics seems to be the key to finding the crappie most times. I don't always find the fish, more like finding the cover then fishing around the cover. Most of my fishing is not around the shoreline either it is out in the middle of the water most of the time. Hope to see you soon.

I have a 997c si but I've been primarily a blue cat fisherman for the past 7 years. So I'm learning the crappie ropes. Will study the site as well as I can. I've been thinking deep water and structure would be key. Been spending my time hitting docks in 8 or less. At times it's been great and I can limit out but alot of times I'm only hitting 5-8 slabs or less. Plan to learn alot from you gents

ROGER A I AM PLANNING ON BRINGING A LONG ROPE WITH ME THE 14TH. IF YOU DON'T GET ME A PARTNER, I WILL TIE ON TO THE BACK OF YOUR BOAT, SO LOCATE SEVERAL PLACES SO YOU CAN CUT ME LOOSE.

If you have ever caught fish out of Neely Henry or Weiss you can catch fish at Logan Martin. All these lakes fish the same. You just have to find an area that is holding fish. This time of year you should be able to find other boats in an area and fish the same area and get on some fish.
