Sitting on a bucket with a pole in hand letting the day slip by can be very rewarding to a fellas inner peace. Seems you feel allot better afterwards. It is nice to slow down from these fast paced times we live in and just enjoy nature.

Well the last several years I have had many good days on the water and caught my share of limits and even got my 3 pounder mounted on the wall! I guess I got everything that you could want to go a crappie fishing...from side imaging to I-pilot and the Good Lord has Blessed me way beyond what I deserve or could have ever imagined. Lately I been doing a lot of thinking about how simple life use to be and reflecting on my childhood and all those that carried me fishing and all the good memories that were made. I know it may sound crazy...BUT I am gonna take a few days and shut down the electronics, spool up a couple of old zebco 33's that's been collecting dust for years and go kick back on a bucket somewhere and just wet a line! I don't know about you guys but sometimes I miss them days and seems the older I get...the more I miss the simple things! I'm sure I'll be out the next day longlining or spider rigging but I don't think it hurts every now and then to be a kid again. I sure wish some of those that taught me were still around where I could turn a bucket over for them to have a seat and teach me a few more things...especially to just enjoy the day and the great outdoors God has Blessed us with!
An ungrateful man is like hog under a tree eating acorns, but never looking up to see where they come from!

I've solved all the world's problems sitting on a bucket and drownin minners. And more than once![]()
I know what u mean preacher I take grand kids down to dock and catch catfish and whitebass and a few crappie and bream off dock and they and me have more fun with a single pole and a cork I think we make every thing more complicated than its got to be the older I get the less I have to have time spent with grand kiddos is a special time
Any day fishing will produce memories, but sometimes the simple things produce the best.
When nothing is going right, Just go fishing.

That's rite.... God read
Bucket and a pole, doesn't get much better than that, and you can have a great day doing that without all the electronics too. God can bless a man there on that bucket just as mightily as He can a man in a boat!
