I got a chance to go do some trollin out around the flats for a while this past Wednesday and had a really good day. I split my assortment up, I had half rigged with hair jigs and half with plastics. I normally don't go through the trouble of getting toughies, but this time I did. I tipped both with minnows and started in about 3.5 to 5.5 feet of water and they started hittin before I got the spread out. I caught 21 and a few throw backs. The water where I started was 61 degrees, I covered a lot of water were the temp was a little cooler say in the 58 degree range but the bite wasn't as good in the cooler water. I didn't set any of my corks any deeper than 3 foot, so they were perty shallow. Also I was fishin around Decatur.![]()
