    Default Still waiting.

I am still waiting and hoping for some good reports on Gville. I throught some one would have found some fish after the cooler nights. But I have not gone myself this week. But I sure do want to try this week. Are the fish still in depter water, are they moving into the creek channels. As soon as I can go I will post a report.

The cooler nights has only dropped the water from 82 or 83 down to 78 so far on the big G. The bait balls are hovering around 3 to 5 ft deep right now when not on top of the water. We only managed 10 with 6 keepers between 10 and 14 inches, Doesn't mean someone isnt slaying them they just tight lipped like most of the long liners on here among other people (grin)!!That is what is was yesterday in the Browns creek area , IMO the water temp needs to get on into the upper 60,s.This next cold front is suppose to be the real deal with a Friday low of 45° and a Sat low of 48 with highs in the upper 60s to low to mid 70s till next Wed should start them moving .I am sure it will cause the bridges to fill up both on he bank and in boats. The bad news is that it looks like the wind will be howling along with the cooler weekend Friday and Sat out of the west north west so wear those life vests.

That wind should actually help! It will have the water rolling in the cooler air and help to cool the water faster. I am still catching fish in 20 FOW with crankbaits, but I think that will be over after this next cold front if it hits like it's supposed to.

Talking bout the wind. I caught over a hundred keepers last week and when the wind was blowing around 15-20 mph is when they were biting the best. I wonder what that tells me???
