Default Another night on the couch

Before April 2011 I would never worry about tornados, but since then any large sounding storm has me heading downstairs for the couch to sleep. Three years ago I was standing at my door waiting for the rain to slow a little before going to work and although I didn't see a tornado something told me something bad was about to happen so I screamed at my wife to get down stairs to the bathroom. Well before she could make it the electricity went out and things started hitting the house. She came flying in the bathroom and for only about 15 seconds we were scared ^%%$$@!@! Only minor damage to our house but when I opened my front door it was not a pretty sight. Not as bad as some neighborhoods but bad enough to make you respect what a storm could do.

I know what you mean. I was a Fireman for 28 years worked the Goshen tornado in 94 killed 22 and we took 127 people to the hospital. it looked like a war zone lot of bad memories from that, also worked 2 more tornado with deaths. they are something to be fearful of. I was driving to work that morning and barley missed the tornado that hit Moody, it was very scary. Then later that day the one that hit Shoal Creek passed almost right over our house before hitting Shoal Creek Valley which is just over the next hill from us.
