I finally got on a few crappie. Yesterday I caught 9 keepers and 1 channel cat. Today I went back to the same place and set up just a little different and caught 17 keepers and 4 channel cats. Had the boat in 18 FOW, fishing minnows and BG baits about 7 feet deep in 12 to 15 feet of water. Some were at the very ends of treetops and some were on out closer to the boat and suspended. All bites were solid and most of the fish were pretty lively. 3 or 4 just rolled over and came to the surface like I remember them doing when I was a kid. Most of the crappie were whites 10 & 11 inches long and 3 or 4 were in the 13 inch range.
